      Traveling to Singapore

      The country of Singapore is really “The Republic of Singapore,” and lies off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia. The quality of life is the best in Asia, according to The Economist Intelligence Unit and ranks number 11 in the world. The climate of Singapore is warm all year, being 2 degrees north of the equator.

      There are 63 islands, included in the mainland of Singapore and is officially called Pulau Ujong. Singapore is a relatively popular travel destination, with over 10 million visitors each year. There are a number of things to see and do on all the islands, as well as the mainland .There are tours of the older parts of the city, as well as more modernized tours that take people to the Zoo, on boat rides in replicas of those used centuries ago and the Marina South, where there are 2 casinos.

      Traveling in Singapore is fairly safe according to the US Travel Bureau. The currency used is the Singapore Dollar and is easily exchanged for the American Dollar, at many banks.
