Travel To Jekyll Island
By qwcdirect | April 27, 2010
Jekyll Island is located in Georgia. The island has palm trees and such a refreshing breeze. What would be more pleasant in the morning than waking up to the smooth feel of sand on your feet as you step out? This place mainly offers a person to experience nature as it is. Boat rides, cycling and watching dolphins is mainly nature, and beautiful nature for that matter.
The island also has a sense of history to it since most of the places have been maintained as they were since time immemorial for instance the Jekyll Island National Historic Landmark District. Originally it was an Indian habitat but was later bought by some rich industrialists. It has a club whose building was completed in 1887. Membership in this was at a rocket high but drastically declined during the great depression.
Tourists in the island have the pleasure of enjoying games like tennis and golf, go shopping, sailing and dolphin tours.
