The Head Quarters Of The US Defense is called Pentagon. The building is located in Arlington County of Virginia. People refer to the US Defense more by saying Pentagon rather than referring to the building itself.
Famous American Architect George Bergstorm designed the building in the year 1943. the building has a five acre central plaza which is popularly known as the ground zero. It is recorded as the world’s largest office with a carpet area of around 35,580 square feet. Approximately 23,000 employees both military and civilian work in the premises.
After 1998, the building has undergone several renovations and has been equipped with the most upgraded facilities in the planet. The Pentagon Renovation Program is estimated and scheduled for completion in the year 2010. The security infrastructure of the building is considered to be the best in the world. The security of the building is safeguarded by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.
