      Mombasa – A Popular Tourist Spot in Kenya

      nullMombasa is a famous tourist destination due to its long beaches that stretch to a length of about 250 kilometers. Located on the southeastern part of Kenya, it receives at least 100,000 tourists in a year. You can visit the town by plane or ship. Most of the cruise ships on the Indian Ocean dock in Mombasa and let the people enjoy the cuisines. A two hour drive from Mombasa is the famous Fort Jesus that was used in the olden days as a castle.

      You also get to enjoy watching the Swahili traditional dances like the Chakacha and you also learn a bit of the Swahili culture. There are numerous Swahili cuisines that you get to enjoy while at Mombasa and these include the baked Kaimati and the Kitumbua. Other dishes are the Biriani and for the lovers of brew, Mnazi made from coconut juice comes in handy.
