nullIschigualasto is a geological formation of rocks and has a natural park associated with it. This park is located in the province of San Juan, situated in Northwest Argentina. It has a net area of 603.7 km2 (233 sq miles).

The park is part of the western border of the Pampean Hills, and it has characteristic desert vegetation. The temperature ranges from -10 °C to 45 °C. The Ischigualasto Formation contains Late Triassic deposits, with some of the oldest and smallest known dinosaur fossils. These are a favorite amongst paleontologists as they are still in a very good shape.

This park visited by a daily, two-hour tour through the park in a group. The touring party makes a stop at regular intervals to brief the visitors about the meaning of rock art in the park.

There is no public transport to visit the park and the park is best visited by hiring a private vehicle or on an organized tour from San Augustine or San Juan.
