Brussels is the capital of Belgium and is known as the capital city of Europe since it the administrative centre of the European Union. This city offers tourists an amalgamation of the old and the new elements of European culture.
People and places:
The city is essentially metropolitan and hence has a mixed culture with people from different regions having settled down here. The two main languages spoken are French and Dutch. You will see the Street names and traffic sings majorly in these two languages. The heart of is the Grand’Place (Grote Markt) one of the most beautiful town squares in Europe.
Things to see:
Mannaken Pis – The world famous peeing boy can be seen every day and night at the corner of Eikstraat/Stoofstraat near the Grand Place.
Music and light show at the Grand Palace- Between April and September the town square and its buildings are illuminated at night to the rhythm of classical music.
Mini Europe- See the miniature versions of world famous monuments like the Eiffel tower, Houses of Parliament, etc

• The Royal Residence
• The Heysel with the atomium
