The grand Niagara Falls is one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in the United States and Canada and with its 2 mn cubic ltrs of water discharged every day the Falls is the second largest one in the world after the Victoria Falls from South Africa. Carved by Wisconsin Glacier, over 10,000 years back, the enthralling Falls has gushed over the ages being supported by the waters from Great Lakes that have been channeled via the strong Niagara River.

It’s actually a set of 3 falls coming in between the 2 nations, United States and Canada. The Falls is located simply 17 mls south east way from Buffalo in NY and 75 mls from Toronto in Canada.

Iguazu falls-one of the most beautiful waterfalls

Iguazu falls are waterfalls of the River Iguazu. These falls are located on the border of Argentina and Brazil. Specifically these falls are situated on the border of the Brazilian state of Paraná and the Argentine province of Misiones. These falls make a natural division of the river into upper and lower Iguazu. Most of the tourist prefer to visit this place between august and November.

The travelers can get a spectacular view from the river level or can opt for trekking to see the view from the top. The tourists also visit the wildlife of Argentina apart from viewing this waterfall. There are many adventurous attractions for the tourists like kayaking and canoeing which is great fun.

The Devil’s Throat, a U-shaped, 82-meter-high, 150-meter-wide and 700-meter-long cataract, is the most impressive of all falls, and marks the border between Argentina and Brazil. Two thirds of the falls are within Argentine territory. These falls were short listed for the New 7 wonders of nature.

The falls can be accessed from both the countries as they are shared by Iguazu National Park (Argentina) and Iguacu National Park (Brazil).
