Unique statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro

Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; considered as the only one of its kind in the world. In the statue Jesus is depicted with his arms stretched outside resembling an embracing posture. The statue stands 39.6 meters tall, including its 9.5 meters pedestal, and 30 meters (98 ft) wide. The weight of the statue is approximated at 635 tons.
This statue is located at the peak of the 700 meters tall Corcovado Mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park. Essentially installed to depict the Christian faith in Rio, this statue has somewhat achieved an iconic status. The statue has been crafted from reinforced concrete and soapstone. You can have a splendid view of the sugar loaf mountain, downtown Rio de Janeiro and the beaches from the peak.
It has been included in the new Seven Wonders of the World on 7th July, 2007.

Visitor complex at KSC

The John F Kennedy Space Centre is worth visiting for any person who is space enthusiasts. KSC organizes public tours which makes this building a visitor centre. Most of the portion of KSC is protected from outsiders. The vehicle assembly building had the largest American flag painted on it with only a star measuring 6 feet diameter.
The KSC visitor complex has museums, stimulating space rides, IMAX theatres and bus tours to have a look around the area. A person above the age of 12 years will be charged $38 as the admission charge. The base admission includes a bus tour to the observation gantry and to the Apollo Statum V centre.
The observation gantry allows a visitor to see the launch pads and the rest of Kennedy Space Centre property. The Apollo centre is a massive museum where Saturn V launch vehicle is displayed other than Apollo capsule and space innovations.
