With a huge cross-section of population from across the globe, Brussels is truly the crossroads of Europe. In fact it is too less to say that the city is bilingual (as both Dutch and French are widely spoken) because in every corner of the city you can hear a different language.
The same vivacity can also be found in the architectural structures of Brussels. With churches sporting Gothic cathedrals alongside the contrasting classical facades around Royal Square; the city is also home to many beautiful art deco and art nouveau houses.
The Grand’Place (Grote Market), the historic market of Brussels, is mapped with the majestic Gothic Town Hall and a number of fabulous guild houses. This place in fact is one of Europe’s most beautiful town squares.
