PETRONAS Twins tower- great landmark of Kuala Lumpur

The PETRONAS Twin Towers are two of the tallest building in the world. It was a project undertaken by the Kuala Lumpur City Centre or KLCC and is said to be a modern world wonder.
Architecture:
They are 452 meters tall (1,483f), have 88 stories, and were completed in 1998. They remained the tallest buildings in the world till October 2003 when they were beaten by the Taipei 101. Together the two towers give a floor space of 1,000,000 m2. The architecture has a lot of Islamic influence with the building mainly being a concrete, steel and glass marvel.
Tourist attraction:
The 41st and 42nd levels of the buildings are connected by a sky bridge 170m/558f above the ground. The sky bridge is open to all visitors, but free passes are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors can only visit the 41st floor. The 42nd floor is restricted only be to the tenants of the building. PETRONAS, the national oil-company is the main resident of this building. Also in the same complex as the towers are Suria KLCC, a shopping mall, and Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, the home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
