Delphi- An Archaeological Adventure

Well known for being both an archaeological adventure and one of Greece’s most modern towns, Delphi has a very special place in every European tourist’s heart.
Being home to the Oracle of Apollo, Delphi is said to be the meeting point of the two eagles set loose by Zeus in different directions. After this legend, Delphi is house to the Temple of Apollo. The temple has a large number of statues and treasuries. Just outside the temple, made in black marble is the Altar of Chains which was the primary altar for sanctuary during the reign of Chios.
Other than these, there is the Stoa of the Athenians which were constructed from singular stone pieces and laid in seven fluted columns. The Catalian Spring received water from a couple of major fountains in Phaedriades.
Apart from these are the Polygonal Wall, the Gymnasium, the stadium and the theatre which are major tourist spots.

The National Museum of human history of Canada is the most popular and most visited museum of the country. The Museum is located in the Gatineau just across the river Ottawa. The primary focus of the institution was to collect, preserve and study the objects which through some light on the human history of civilization. The researches also study the cultural diversities of the different parts of the world.
The museum was established in the year 1856. the records say that around 1.3 million visitors visit the museum every year. There are four permanent exhibition galleries which are named as the Grand Hall, The First People’s Hall, The Canada Hall and the Canadian Personality’s Hall. The Grand Hall has largest color photograph of the world displayed. There is a permanent exhibition which narrates the history of the original inhabitants of Canada and their social and cultural development.
The Museum is one of the most popular public destinations of the country. Every year it attracts thousands of foreign tourists and generates revenue for the Canadian Government.

The Louvre Museum is till date the most talked about and the most popularly visited museum in the world. Sheltering awesome art pieces from across the generations, Louvre is not only beautiful inside- it presents its ubiquitous charm to a casual onlooker too.
Built as a fortress in France under Phillips II, Louvre now houses more than 35,000 objects from prehistoric times to the modern day.
Though mostly known for the section on art and sculpture, the louver, other than being home to Leonardo Da Vinci’s Monalisa, also showcases Egyptian and Eastern antiquities, Roman, Greek and Etruscan sculptures, Islamic art forms and much more.
The Louvre Museum is perhaps all the more appealing to people because of all the controversies it has borne. The Louvre has been claimed by several races including the Israelis and the Jews but was finally retained by the French in their capital city. With Louvre, standing tall, you have no dearth of places to visit on your Paris trip.
