It is situated on the same site of Las Vegas where the legendary Hotel Dunes used to stand. The place was acquired by Mr. Sieve Wynn in 1993. The Hotel was inaugurated in October 15, 1998.

The theme of Bellagio is inspired by the famous resort of Bellagio in Italy. The first thing which one will notice about the hotel is the dancing musical fountain in front of the hotel. The fountains are situated on the 8 acre lake of Las Vegas.
